She co-directed and produced Lightning Bugs in a Jar, a short film which premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival as part of the Short Film Corner. The film stars Tony Award Nominees Ethan Slater and Betsy Aidem.
Marrying her two loves, her first feature documentary, Still on the Road, about America’s longest running touring theater company, The Acting Company, had it's theatrical premiere at Lincoln Center and aired nationally on PBS. She also co-directed a promo trailer staring Gillian Anderson for an upcoming children's television show she is developing with her partner Jessica Fox.
Sara has directed and produced countless internal corpoarate business videos and podcasts. Clients include: Pandora, Deloitte, Pfizer, GE, NARAL Pro-Choice and LitWorld.
For the web, she directed and edited a webseries called "Diary Of A Chorus Girl", about a woman who made her broadway debut in Catch Me If You Can the new musical on Broadway. The series can be found at http://www.youtube.com/show/diaryofachorusgirl.
Theater: As of 2024, Sara is developing three plays with two playwrights. Sara directed Shut UP, Emily Dickinson (AbronsArts Center, 2022), The Ultimate Stimulus (The Brick 2021, FringeNYC2014, Cincy Fringe, Mini-Fridge at Under St Marks, Dixon Place), for which her partners Tanya O'Debra (actress) and Felipe Ossa (playwright) are nominated for NY Innovative Theater Awards in their respective categories. Sara also directed War Crimes, which she was nominated for “Outstanding Use of Projections, Special Effects, and/or Multi-Media Event” at the Planet Connections Festival. Another favorite was Brooklyn Labrinth (BoCoCa Arts Festival, The Chain Theater). She got her start in NYC by directing and co-creating a one-woman show, Eleanor Is Sibling Challenged, performed at the Magnet Theater with Elana Fishbein. She has a BA in film from Vassar College '05.
